City Point Church Core Values

Core Values define and shape the culture of a group of people.  At City Point Church there are five core values that define and shape our culture and who we strive to be as we expand the Kingdom of God in Stevens Point.

Experience God

We desire to create a culture where people can experience the presence of God in a real, authentic, miraculous and life changing way.  Our heart is for all disciples of Jesus to live a rich, spirit filled life.  “Come and See” is what we say with faith that all people will experience God in a a relevant way here. 

Encourage Growth

We say “Come as you are, but don’t stay that way.”  This is how we describe a culture of growth.  Our vision is for a community of disciples who are not perfect but are growing to be more like Jesus every day.  This is a culture of iron sharpening iron.  This is a culture where everyone is encouraged to grow, from the leadership to every attender. 

Equip The Saints

We believe that ministry is for all followers of Jesus, not just the professional clergy.  At CPC everyone is challenged to get involved in kingdom work.  At CPC there is a place for everyone to be equipped, to serve and to lead.  Our leadership structure is built upon Ephesians 4:11-12 which says, “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…”

Engage Community

Point City Church is a place for people to come together and “Belong.”  At CPC people are encouraged to belong even before they believe.  At North Point we are creating an environment where people from all walks of life and all different stages of life can engage in Christ-centered community.

Express Creativity

God used a tremendous amount of creativity in His creation of the world and His people.  We believe that all people are created in the image of God and are created unique.  At CPC we want to help every follower of Jesus discover and release their God given creativity.  We believe in using our creativity and beauty for the Glory of God.
